Pilot Scheme on Immigration Facilitation for Visitors Participating in Short-term Activities in Designated Sectors
The Government launched a new “Pilot Scheme on Immigration Facilitation for Visitors Participating in Short-term Activities in Designated Sectors” (“the Pilot Scheme for STV”) w.e.f. 1st June 2022 to provide immigration facilitation for visitors participating in short-term activities in designated sectors.
Under the Pilot Scheme for STV, overseas visitors participating in designated short-term activities do not need to apply for employment visa, provided that
- the official invitation letter to the visitor is issued by Training Organizers under HA for designated activities; and
- the duration of participation in the specified short-term activities is not more than 14 consecutive calendar days.
If the eligible visitors are not visa-free nationals, they must also obtain visit visas/entry permits, before coming to the HKSAR.
